After overcoming centuries of horrors brought upon by the Umbradome, and its leader, the Epilogue, the Cosmos has finally managed to emerge into the Light Ages. The need for intergalactic warriors, known as"Cosmos Protectors," has gradually decreased.

That doesn't stop Jason Wish, an enthusiastic Cosmos Protector, from fulfilling his dreams. Jason has always lived under the shadow of his deceased father, who single-handedly brought the Umbradome to an end. Eager to become something more than his "father's son," Jason ventures away from his home planet, Stonit, to his newly assigned planet.

He quickly realizes that his duties as a Cosmos Protector have turned more complicated.… for there are evil forces at play that neither the people of Stonit, nor himself, had anticipated. Alongside this looming threat, Jason suddenly discovers he has acquired a mysterious and powerful energy that enhances his power beyond anything he could have ever imagined. He learns that possessing this energy makes him central to the survival of the Cosmos-and a target for the mysterious individual plotting to doom the Cosmos.
